iOS 27 Will Let You Pick Claude or Gemini Instead of ChatGPT for Apple Intelligence

Apple is reportedly preparing iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 with a new Extensions system for Apple Intelligence.

The update could let users choose third-party AI services such as ChatGPT, Claude or Google’s Gemini as defaults for Apple features.

Bloomberg says Apple is also working with Google on Gemini support, expanding AI options inside Siri and tools like Writing Tools.

The change would give users more control over Apple’s AI stack and intensify competition among major chatbot providers.
