Anthropic has released Claude Opus 4.8 just weeks after Opus 4.7, with gains in collaboration, judgment, honesty, and long-task performance.

Pricing stays unchanged, while benchmarks improved and fast mode became quicker and cheaper.

Claude Code rate limits were expanded for higher-effort settings, and new workflow tools were added across Claude products.

New features include dynamic workflows, effort controls in claude.ai and Cowork, and a Messages API update for mid-task instruction changes.
