OpenAI adds Chrome plugin and tests remote control for Codex

OpenAI has expanded Codex with a Chrome extension for isolated browser use on macOS and Windows.

It is also testing a Remote Control feature that gives Codex persistent SSH access to remote machines.

The company plans to add voice support soon, positioning Codex as a multi-surface agent.

The updates could make Codex more useful for development, testing, and routine operations.
