Google Launches Veo 3.1 Lite, a More Cost-Effective AI Video Generator Model

Google introduced Veo 3.1 Lite as a cost-effective addition to the Veo product family.

Veo 3.1 Lite will cost 50% less than Veo 3.1 Fast, and Google says it retains the same speed.

It supports audio, offers text-to-video and image-to-video capabilities, and handles 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios up to 1080p (no 4K).

Developers can customize video duration to 4, 6, or 8 seconds.

Pricing appears in developer documentation but is noted as 'pricing will be available soon,' and the rollout began on Tuesday.
