Researchers expanded the Human Organ Atlas, a continuously updated 3D imaging project mapping donated human organs at micron-scale resolution.

Using hierarchical phase-contrast tomography at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, the atlas has captured 87 organs and 363 datasets from 54 donors.

The non-destructive X-ray approach reveals fine organ structure in unprecedented detail, setting a new standard for medical imaging.
