Google unveils "Gemini 3.5 Flash"; agent-focused, with Pro next month

Google unveiled the Gemini 3.5 family at I/O 2026, launching Gemini 3.5 Flash immediately and promising Gemini 3.5 Pro next month.

Flash is now available across the Gemini app, Search AI mode, Antigravity, Studio, Android Studio, and enterprise products, plus the Gemini API.

Google also introduced Gemini Spark and emphasized safety upgrades, agentic AI, coding, and long-running workflows.

The company says Gemini 3.5 delivers major benchmark gains over Gemini 3.1 Pro, signaling a push toward practical assistant and developer use cases.
