I’ve been waiting years for Google Photos to get this one basic feature — and it's finally here

Google Photos is rolling out video playback speed controls on Android.

Users can now adjust videos from 0.5x to 2x directly during playback.

The feature fills a basic gap for skimming long clips or slowing them down for detail.

iOS support has not been announced yet, and the rollout is gradual.
