Intel unveiled Project Firefly in China to standardize Wildcat Lake laptop designs across its supply-chain partners.

The program uses shared design rules and modular components to cut costs, improve repairability, and speed up development.

More than 70 upcoming laptops from OEMs and ODMs are expected to use the unified platform.

The push could strengthen the Windows laptop ecosystem and add pressure on Apple’s premium notebooks.
