The Official Pokémon Account Was Hacked to Pull a Memecoin Scam

Hackers took over Pokémon’s official X account for about 30 minutes to promote a fake anniversary-themed $POKEMON memecoin.

The token generated more than $3 million in reported trading activity before Pokémon confirmed the account had been compromised.
