Hyundai expands US robotics strategy with 25,000 Atlas humanoid deployment update

Hyundai plans to deploy more than 25,000 Boston Dynamics Atlas humanoid robots across its U.S. operations.

The company aims to produce 30,000 robots a year by 2028 and will locally make key parts like actuators in the United States.

The move marks a major push to use humanoid robots at scale in automotive assembly and expand U.S.-based robotics manufacturing.

Boston Dynamics also showed new Atlas training methods designed to improve heavy-object handling.
