The Google app could soon get a lot more video-heavy

Google’s app may be getting a new Video tab in the bottom navigation, alongside Home, Search, and Activity.

The tab was spotted through manual enablement, but it is not live for most users and currently does nothing.

Early signs suggest it would highlight YouTube videos and possibly other video sources, with search, saving, and filters.

If released, the update could make the Google app more visual and change how users discover video-based news and media.
