New Dungeons and Dragons Project Is Synthwave Star Wars Meets Cowboy Bebop

Avantris Entertainment launched Neon Odyssey, a massive three-book Dungeons & Dragons expansion with more than 1,400 pages of sci-fi content.

The project adds the Machinist class, dozens of subclasses and species, hundreds of monsters, and rules for starship combat and bounty hunting.

Its Kickstarter funded within seconds and passed $1.5 million in pledges in the first 30 minutes.

A launch music video featuring The Midnight helped underline the supplement’s space-opera and synthwave style.
