Prototype of the ‘world’s first fluid circuit board’ can be physically rewired in less than a minute, startup claims — could make hardware iteration 1,000 times faster than traditional PCB

Itera has emerged from stealth with a reconfigurable circuit board that uses electrowetting to move liquid metal traces on glass.

The company says engineers can rewire and retest hardware in under a minute, potentially making iteration up to 1,000 times faster than traditional PCB workflows.

Itera also announced $12 million in seed funding from investors including Upfront Ventures, Costanoa Ventures, and Colle Capital.

The startup says its first production run is already reserved by major industrial customers, including automotive OEMs and chipset makers.
