Tesla inches one step closer to achieving its 100 GW US solar manufacturing ambition: Report

Tesla has reportedly started solar panel production in Brookshire, Texas.

The company is said to be planning a co-located solar plant alongside its Megapack operation.

Tesla’s goal is to reach as much as 100 GW of annual U.S. solar manufacturing capacity by 2028.

If successful, the expansion could make Tesla a major domestic solar supplier and strengthen paired solar-plus-storage production.
