Apple’s latest acquisition further confirms a new priority for the company

Apple quietly acquired Patchflyer GmbH, the company behind Color.io, and brought on founder Jonathan Ochmann.

The deal also includes certain Color.io assets, pointing to Apple’s interest in color management and grading tools.

The acquisition appears to fit Apple’s broader push to build out Apple Creator Studio.

It follows earlier creative-software buys like Pixelmator and MotionVFX, reinforcing Apple’s pro creator strategy.
