MSIT discusses global AI issues at the G7 Digital and Tech Ministers’ Meeting

South Korea shared its AI policy at the G7 digital ministers’ meeting in Paris, highlighting safe and responsible AI, SME adoption, digital carbon neutrality, and online child protection.

The Ministry of Science and ICT presented measures including AI vouchers, AX talent training, AI data center support, the AI Basic Act, and an AI Safety Institute.

The visit also underscored Korea’s push to shape global AI governance and expand cooperation on international digital agendas.

After the meeting, Deputy Minister Ryu Jae-myung is set to visit French AI firm Mistral AI to discuss potential collaboration.
