Kakao strengthens AI ethics governance... launches external advisory panel

Kakao has launched an external advisory group of seven experts under its AI & Technology Ethics Subcommittee to strengthen AI governance.

The panel will review AI safety, ethics, law, children’s rights, and global policy issues, with regular meetings planned through year-end.

Kakao says it will feed the group’s recommendations into internal technology policy and ethics standards as agentic AI spreads and regulations evolve.

The company also plans to publish the outcomes, signaling a push toward more accountable AI operations.
