According to Google data, workers will not lose their jobs to AI automation

Google analyzed about 15 million anonymized interactions from Gemini, Google Search AI mode, and the Gemini API.

The study found AI use is still mostly assistive and shallow, with few jobs seeing key tasks fully automated.

Usage is higher in finance, software, and systems administration, but lower in sales, transportation, and food services.

Only about 3% of occupations used AI regularly in at least three-quarters of relevant tasks, suggesting limited near-term job displacement.
