Electra’s new Ohio 96-acre facility to build 800 hybrid-electric aircraft yearly

Electra will build its first EL9 Ultra Short production facility at AirPark Ohio in Springfield, Ohio.

The company plans to invest $850 million in a 96-acre site that could eventually produce up to 800 aircraft a year.

The project is expected to create 1,975 jobs and move the EL9 from development into large-scale U.S. manufacturing.

It also gives a boost to the emerging hybrid-electric aircraft and advanced air mobility sector.
