Hamster Wants To Release Hundreds Of Games For Its Console Archives Series

Hamster says its Console Archives line for Switch 2 is meant to grow beyond Arcade Archives and eventually pass 800 releases.

CEO Satoshi Hamada said the series is already adding new retro games regularly after launching earlier in 2026.

The goal signals a long-term effort to build one of the largest classic game libraries on modern consoles.

That expansion could improve preservation and re-release access for console classics.
