Apple introduces a cheaper option for App Store subscriptions

Apple is introducing a new App Store subscription tier that bills monthly but requires a 12-month commitment.

The format is aimed at discounted long-term plans and includes required cancellation, renewal, and reminder disclosures.

Developers will get supporting tools in App Store Connect and Xcode to set up and manage the offers.

The new option will not launch in the U.S. or Singapore at first.
