Nvidia invests in Ilya Sutskever's AI lab, shifting SSI away from Google chips

Nvidia made a substantial undisclosed investment in Ilya Sutskever's Safe Superintelligence (SSI).

The two companies also signed a long-term deal giving SSI access to Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin GPU platform.

That shifts SSI away from its previous reliance on Google's TPU chips.

The move strengthens Nvidia's role in AI infrastructure and deepens its ties to a major AI lab.
