Nam Seok, Commissioner of the Personal Information Protection Commission, appointed as communications policy director at the Ministry of Science and ICT after 6-month vacancy

Nam Seok, head of the Investigation and Coordination Bureau at the Personal Information Protection Commission, has been appointed as the new director of MSIT’s telecom policy office.

The telecom policy post had been vacant for six months and is filled as of the 14th.

He will oversee telecom policy making and responses to key industry issues.

The appointment could speed up progress on telecom regulation, pricing, and network usage fees.
