DeepSeek has launched V4 Flash, a low-cost coding AI model that is intensifying price competition across the industry.

The model reportedly performs close to Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.8 on complex coding and autonomous software tasks.

It even beat Opus 4.8 on a frontend coding leaderboard, while costing about 28 cents per minute versus $25.

The move adds pressure on pricing among OpenAI, Google, Meta, and other AI players.
