Voltmeter Clock with AVR128DB28: Three Analog Gauges as Hands

Michał Zalewski released version 2 of his voltmeter clock on 16 May 2026, using three analog panel meters for hours, minutes, and seconds.

The AVR128DB28 drives the meters by rapidly toggling GPIO pins, letting the coils average the pulses mechanically without DAC or hardware PWM.

The redesign puts more emphasis on a cleaner wooden enclosure, better carpentry, and easier use than on circuit complexity.

He shared the build details so others can recreate the project, making a familiar maker concept more polished and reproducible.
