IBM Cloud launches tool for visibility on digital sovereignty

IBM Cloud launched the Sovereignty Risk Profile, a monitoring tool for continuous visibility into sovereignty-related controls across cloud workloads.

The tool helps customers prove data residency, encryption, operational independence, and portability with audit-ready evidence for regulators.

IBM says the offering is part of a broader sovereignty strategy centered on provability, customer-controlled keys, flexible deployment, and open technologies to reduce lock-in.

The company is targeting governments and heavily regulated sectors such as financial services and healthcare.
