NASA to complete lunar base by 2032 for astronauts’ permanent stay

NASA’s lunar base chief outlined a three-stage Moon Base roadmap at a special lecture in Seoul.

The plan calls for uncrewed resource surveys through 2029, followed by initial crew infrastructure by 2032.

From 2032 onward, NASA envisions semi-permanent human stays on the Moon under the Artemis program.

The roadmap highlights a longer-term path to sustained lunar presence and closer U.S.-Korea space cooperation.
