‘Last Titan’: 120-million-year-old remains of massive long-necked dinosaur discovered

Researchers formally described Nagatitan chaiyaphumensis, a giant sauropod found in northeast Thailand.

The plant-eating dinosaur lived about 100 to 120 million years ago and weighed an estimated 27 tonnes.

It is now regarded as the largest dinosaur ever found in Southeast Asia.

The discovery expands the region’s dinosaur record and may represent one of Thailand’s last large sauropods.
