Edera spent years calling KVM less secure. Here’s why it changed its mind.

Edera announced it will port its zone-based micro-VM isolation model to KVM this summer.

The company says zones will keep per-workload kernels, memory, device namespaces, and lifecycles on KVM.

Edera cited customer demand and preserved orchestration workflows as reasons for adding KVM support.

Edera noted Xen remains faster on hardware and better for high-assurance use cases, while KVM requires user-space defensive measures.
