AED installation sites become "PokéStops" in Pokémon GO, with the photodisc of the care Pokémon "Pawmot" adopted

Niantic is adding real-world AED installation sites in Japan as PokéStops in Pokemon GO.

The rollout starts May 1 in Tokyo with about 1,000 locations from the AED N@VI map.

The feature will expand nationwide to around 13,000 sites by late July.

Pawmot will appear on the photo discs, helping draw attention to defibrillators and public health.
