Intel CEO Tan Makes Bold Move – Shares Atom Chip Tech With Rosaic, a Startup Led by His Former Investment Partner

Reuters reports Intel plans to share RTL code for its Atom processors with startup Rosaic.

Rosaic is led by Amarjit Gill, a former chip and venture investing partner of Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan.

The move would give Rosaic access to core Intel IP behind the company’s low-power Atom designs.

It could help build custom processors while reflecting Tan’s broader push to revive Intel’s competitiveness in CPUs, AI, and foundry services.
