ShinyHunters' ADT phishing hack nets 5.5 million emails

ADT confirmed unauthorized access to a limited set of customer and prospective customer data.

Have I Been Pwned reported 5.5 million unique email addresses tied to the breach.

Exposed data may include names, phone numbers, addresses, and in some cases Social Security or Tax ID numbers.

ADT said payment information was not compromised.

ShinyHunters claimed it gained access through an employee’s Okta SSO credentials via voice phishing.
