AMD Enables Chinese DDR5 Memory Support With EXPO 1.2: Adds CUDIMM, MRDIMM & Ultra-Low Latency Support

AMD is preparing EXPO 1.2 for Ryzen/AM5 systems, adding support for CUDIMM, CSODIMM, and MRDIMM DDR5 modules.

The update also brings module-geometry awareness and ultra-low-latency tuning to improve memory performance and flexibility.

Motherboard BIOS support is starting to roll out, with ASUS X870 boards among the first to pick it up via AGESA 1.3.0.1.

EXPO 1.2 expands AMD’s DDR5 ecosystem by adding compatibility with more memory vendors, including several Chinese manufacturers.
