Slack added features to its personal AI agent Slackbot to operate multiple apps, data sources, and third‑party agents from a single conversation.

Slackbot connects the apps, agents, and data a user uses into one conversational interface and integrates with Slack conversations, decisions, and knowledge.

The enhancement centralizes work in Slack—avoiding app or tab switching—and can automate recurring tasks via natural language, with voice command support.

Slackbot can safely read desktop windows (design files, slides, browsers) and enter information into other systems in the background; it can also reference contract price tables and update supplier records.

Slack adopted the Model Context Protocol (MCP); Slackbot adds CRM‑style automatic logging of deals and activities, deep research, reusable AI skills saved to canvas, and memory to learn and improve team workflows.
