Relive the PC magazine cover disk era with 758-strong archive.org CD-ROM collection — 1.2TB treasure trove also includes Floppy Disks from as early as 1993

The Internet Archive has released a massive retro-software collection with 758 PC Gamer cover disks and more than 1,500 related archives, totaling about 1.2TB.

The archive also includes magazine disk sets from PC Format, ST Format, CU Amiga, and Computer Shopper.

These cover disks and floppy-based software were once a key way readers discovered games and apps, and they are now available again for browsing and preservation.

The effort helps preserve rare print-era software as part of the Internet Archive’s broader digital heritage work, alongside the Wayback Machine.
