OpenAI models, Codex, and Managed Agents come to AWS

OpenAI and AWS expanded their partnership to bring OpenAI models, including GPT-5.5, into Amazon Bedrock in limited preview.

Codex will be configured to run on Bedrock, extending OpenAI’s developer tooling into AWS environments.

Amazon Bedrock Managed Agents will use OpenAI models to automate enterprise workflows.

The move gives AWS customers easier access to frontier AI inside existing cloud, security, and procurement systems.
