SNK revives the mighty Neo Geo in modern form — new AES+ system plays classic games without emulation

SNK and Plaion have announced the Neo Geo AES+, a modern recreation of the classic home arcade system.

Unlike most retro reissues, it uses new custom chips instead of software emulation and adds HDMI plus optional overclocking.

The console supports original cartridges and comes with wired and wireless controller options.

It is set to launch in November, with 10 games planned at $70 each.
