Anthropic’s Boris Cherny says AI coding agents are making it easier to build products and grow startups with very small teams.

On a podcast, he suggested that new graduates with an entrepreneurial mindset should seriously consider starting a company instead of only looking for jobs.

Cherny said many Y Combinator founders now let AI handle more than half of their code, showing how workflows are changing.

He argued AI is not eliminating engineers, but reshaping how software is developed and lowering the barrier to entry for startups.
