Google's Googlebook is the Android laptop OS we've been waiting for

Google unveiled Googlebook, a new Android-based PC operating system built around Gemini and positioned as a step beyond ChromeOS.

The system adds AI-driven cursor functions, deeper phone-to-PC integration, and a more desktop-like PC environment.

Google said Googlebook will evolve over time into a ChromeOS replacement, signaling a bigger push into the laptop market.

Major OEM hardware from companies like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo is expected later this year.
