OpenAI releases transcription AI "GPT Transcribe" and "GPT Live Transcribe"

OpenAI launched two new transcription models: GPT Transcribe for completed audio and GPT Live Transcribe for low-latency live speech.

Both models are designed to handle technical terms and noisy audio better, with lower error rates than previous offerings.

The API is priced at $0.0045 per minute for GPT Transcribe and $0.017 per minute for GPT Live Transcribe.

The release strengthens OpenAI’s position in developer-focused speech AI for both recorded and real-time use cases.
