Apple shuts down iPhone Upgrade Program, here’s what’s next

Apple is ending the iPhone Upgrade Program in the U.S. and replacing it with a new lease-based plan called Apple Upgrade.

Apple Upgrade covers iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac, expanding Apple’s device financing and upgrade options.

Current iPhone Upgrade Program users will need to move to Apple Upgrade, Apple Card Monthly Installments, outright purchase, or carrier financing when eligible for a new device.

The change reshapes how U.S. customers finance, upgrade, and insure Apple devices.
