Ubisoft to End Service for Web3 NFT Strategy Game 'Champions Tactics' in October

Ubisoft is shutting down its web3 and NFT strategy game, ‘Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles.’

The servers will officially go offline on October 30, following what the company called a careful review.

The game launched in 2024 after the NFT boom had already faded, and it struggled to gain traction; web3 features were phased out in May.

Ubisoft is steering players toward its new TCG, ‘Might & Magic Fates.’

The closure highlights the limits of blockchain gaming strategies and the weak long-term sustainability of NFT games.
