SpaceX’s Starlink nabs American Airlines contract, another win for its IPO

American Airlines will install SpaceX’s Starlink Wi‑Fi on more than 500 Airbus narrow-body jets starting early next year.

The agreement excludes Boeing aircraft, limiting the rollout to Airbus A321XLR and A320neo planes.

The deal adds another major enterprise customer for Starlink and strengthens SpaceX’s revenue case ahead of its planned IPO.

It also boosts Starlink’s position in the competitive inflight Wi‑Fi market against rivals like Viasat and Amazon Leo.
