Masayoshi Son: “AI is now at the beginning stage of the internet”... 50 times bigger than the dot-com boom

SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son said AI is still at the early internet stage and could be up to 50 times bigger than the dot-com boom.

He announced a €75 billion AI infrastructure investment in France, including plans for a 5GW data center network.

SoftBank also said it aims to build a 3.1GW data center in northern France by 2031.

The move signals major capital flowing into Europe’s AI ecosystem and data center expansion.
