PaddleOCR Becomes Most-Starred OCR Project on GitHub, Surpassing Google’s Tesseract

Huawei announced at its Barcelona TECH Cares Forum that it has connected 170 million people in remote areas across more than 80 countries.

The company said this exceeds its 2022 ITU P2C pledge to connect 120 million people by 2025.

Huawei highlighted digital skills training programs and rural network solutions such as Skills on Wheels and RuralCow as contributors to the achievement.
