Gamer banned for 7,000 years for leaking Xbox game mocks devs

Playground Games banned several players for leaking early Forza Horizon 6 footage, handing out a 7,973-year ban across Forza titles.

The best-known leaker, DVS Squad, posted more footage and said he was not worried about the punishment.

He also claimed he could bypass the ban and keep playing on another account.

The case underscores how studios are cracking down on pre-release leaks, but also the limits of account bans against experienced modders.
