Corsair is putting Chinese RAM in the mainstream market. It won’t quite end the crisis though

Corsair reportedly tested DDR5 modules built with CXMT chips as Chinese memory makers push lower-cost DRAM and NAND.

The move comes as CXMT gains DRAM share and YMTC expands in NAND, adding pressure to already high RAM prices.

Any wider adoption will depend on reliability, yield consistency, and stable supply, not just lower cost.

U.S.-China export controls and Entity List restrictions could still slow broader use of Chinese-made memory.
