NetherRealm Is "Actively Pursuing" A New Mortal Kombat Game

NetherRealm Studios is actively working on a new Mortal Kombat game, according to Ed Boon.

Boon said the studio is also juggling other projects and media tie-ins at the same time.

He pointed to upcoming Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter films as part of the franchise momentum.

The update suggests the next Mortal Kombat entry is in development and could factor into future platform plans, including Switch 2.
