Winamp is teaming up with Deezer to bring streaming to its iconic music player

Winamp is partnering with Deezer to add streaming to its next-generation music player, due in the first half of 2027.

Deezer will provide white-label streaming technology and catalog access, giving Winamp a real backend for premium music.

The new app aims to unify local files, radio, podcasts, cloud libraries, and streaming in one customizable player.

The deal could help Winamp evolve from a nostalgic desktop player into a modern subscription service with broader appeal.
