Intel joins Musk’s Terafab AI chip project

Intel will work with SpaceX and Tesla on the Terafab project to develop chips for AI and robotics.

Terafab aims to integrate logic, memory, and packaging to deliver large-scale computing power for robots and data centers.

Musk's plan includes two new chip factories in Austin, one for vehicles and humanoid robots and one for space-deployable data centers.

Intel is restructuring under CEO Lip-Bu Tan while receiving investments from Nvidia and the U.S. government as chip demand recovers.
